The Welcome Back Comedy Show is one of our events to kickoff the fall semester. Part of Welcome Week at UTC and held each year on the first Friday of the semester, the comedy show brings rising stars in the comedy world to campus for a free show. The event is co-sponsored by the Interfraternity Council (IFC), as part of their fall recruitment week. The show provides students the opportunity to get a glimpse into a popular style of event from the board, relax after their first week of classes and enjoy some great entertainment.
"Paint U: The Ultimate Campus Party" is our first event each fall from Mocs After Dark, our late night and alcohol alternative series of programs and serves as our final event during Welcome Week at UTC. The party, traditionally held on the first Saturday of the fall semester provides the popular paint party or day glow experience typically only seen in nightclubs and at festivals to campus. Complete with an awesome DJ and light show, the party never fails to impress and provides students something to do during the first weekend of the semester.
UTC's ANNUAL DRAG SHOW
Drag Star Alyssa Edwards during 3rd Annual UTC Drag Show in 2016
UTC's Annual Drag Show was started in an effort to bring greater education and awareness of LGBT+ issues through showcasing the culture of drag. The program showcases local Tennessee drag queens, as well as a headliner from the show RuPaul's Drag Race. The program includes performances, an educational lecture and multiple question and answer sessions. Started in 2014, the program was started by student Jeff Grant who worked with campus groups to make it happen. Shortly after the first show, the program transitioned to the board as one of it's signature programs to provide stronger promotion and support.

Headliner Andy Grammer at Moc Madness 2014
Moc Madness is our large concert featuring a major artist(s), open to the campus and surrounding community. The concert, held in McKenzie Arena on campus was started in 2014. The concert is held on the years CAB has the funding to provide the event. The event is currently on hiatus, however we are working to develop a concert programming model to support future shows and hope to bring the event back soon.
